Our approach to building is tailored and personal. We understand that communication and transparency is key throughout the build process and hold regular site meetings with each of our clients and their assigned site management team to ensure collaboration and progress throughout each of our build projects. We believe that our experienced team of site managers and tradesmen help us to meet and often surpass client expectations by going above and beyond in their work.

Over time, we have built up an enviable network of suppliers and subcontractors who share our values and work with us to achieve great results. ABOUT

We specialise in new builds, large-scale developments, renovations and alterations with a minimum £200k project spend.

Our experience spans three decades and two generations. Our management team includes a father, a son, a brother-in-law and close friends so we understand each other well and share the same ethos.

We work to varied and challenging project briefs of all sizes, from traditional homes to contemporary houses and new build developments.

CHARLIE SMEE

Managing Director

Charlie has over a decade of experience in project management and property development. Recent projects in the local area include new builds, multi-unit developments, and high-end refurbishments.

Charlie began his career in property in 2008 when he started working for the family construction business. Since then he has been working on larger-scale developments and planning opportunities alongside construction contracts. Charlie is responsible for funding, planning consents, project management and quality control as well as assisting with securing new business.

JON HOBSON

Contracts Manager / Partner

Jon started working in construction for his family business over 20 years ago. Since then he has progressed to contracts manager having spent a number of years on-site gaining “in the trenches” experience.

He enjoys being part of a successful, tightly-knit team of trades that have been working together for a number of years on a variety of bespoke projects. He is an integral part of the team and his digger skills are nearly as impressive as his scheduling. In his past life, he was a UK strongman competitor.

SAMANTHA WADE

Financial Director

She has worked with us for over 4 years and understands the construction industry being the daughter and Accounts Manager of a successful roofing contractor. Sam has a wealth of experience having worked in various accounts roles in different industries since starting as an Accounts assistant in the early 90’s.

Sam would have liked to be a Giraffe herder but there is not much call for that on the South Coast of England, so she has settled for herding cats here at LCC as our Financial Director alongside her other client accounts.

DEAN HILLS-REED

Contracts Manager / Partner

Dean is a valued member of our site management team. He is a talented carpenter with decades of experience having trained with a locally renowned carpentry business. He brings many qualities to the LCC team including experience, on-site expertise, knowledge of the build process and multitasking as a site manager.

Dean runs a tight ship on site during the week, and can often be seen being towed home through the harbour on his own ship at weekends.
